Hey All,
+ God will not require anything from us that He, Himself won't give us the grace and resources necessary to fulfill
+ When you died to the Law you were joined (married) to Christ - So act like it!
+ In the new covenant, the law has gone from letters written on stone demanding change from the outside to letters written on the heart and an overwhelming desire to change from the inside
+ Salvation does not skip sanctification on it's way to glorification
+ Personal, practical, progressive sanctification can not take place apart from time spent in God's word
+ Scripture is the correct interpretation of Scripture
these and others I've been learning

| Yea y'all, you know what time it is;
What can i say, my Sox have lost their last 13 out of 15, they are now 8 1/2 games behind the Tigers and are now tied with the Twins for 2nd in the A.L. Central and don't forget a 1/2 game behind the Yankees in the Wild Card. Some will read this and notice my despair and say, "what's the big deal?", "Who cares it's just a game". Well, you have to realize that some people love sports and love certain teams and when they're doing bad and going through a slump the person also is doing bad and goes through an emotional slump. It's pretty sad if you think of how our happiness or unhappiness is based on such insignificant things. Ponder This:
Jeremiah 17: 7-8
"Blessed is the man who trusts in the Lord, and whose hope is the Lord. For he shall be like a tree planted by the waters, Which spreads out it's roots by the river, and will not fear when __________." (fill in the blank)
What do we trust in?, where do we find joy?, what satisfies us?
| What do you say?
When it's 12:53 a.m., what am i doing up? listening to the new ZAO album (it's pretty dern cool). What's the difference between a mountain and a hill? a thousand feet. What in the world would i do without my son? have a huge hole in my heart. Where would i be without regeneration? stuck with a rock hard heart. What do you do with a day off? re-arrange your furniture. What do you do when you stand before God by yourself? fall way short man, waaaaay short! What's the rquirement for a school teacher these days? alot of schooling, 4 years worth. What's the rquirement for a sunday school teacher? Do you encourage and pray for your teachers? it's so important.
| It's been a long time kids,
I"ve been good at times and i've felt low at others, you know how it goes in the flesh, just battling. I'm very optimistic about this summer, with everything going on make sure you get involved, but for now i will talk to you about The Pledge. The pledge that i made was to get up early in the morning and spend time with my Heavenly Father, tell me if this sounds familiar, there are days that i wake up, there are days that i don't. There are days that i wake up and can't even focus, others seem focused and meaningful (we like to talk about those). It also seems that weekends are exempt from this pledge ( i'm already going to church, i don't need to wake up). Yea, you know what i'm talking about, but what i'm really talking about is obedience, it reminds me of a conversation i had with my dad. My parents never asked for much, " just pick up after yourself " for some reason i had a hard time with this (pam will tell you that i still do). So i was having one of these conversations with my dad about picking up after myself and he was saying "Man! you gotta pick up after yourself" and i was saying "Dad, i know i got a problem with irresponsiblity, i've been praying about it." to which he replied " what's there to pray about?, just do it." I often use this story when talking to people about their various issues, i think it's time for me to apply it
| He Is Risen Indeed!!
Today is resurrection sunday, and let's be thankful to God for his wisdom in revealing to us the mystery of Jesus Christ (his person and work) and I also thank Him for working in my life in a very specific and personal way, regenerating me. I cry when i think of it. I did some hanging out with family, I don't get much attention when camden is around (it be's like that sometimes!). Bulls won, Sox won but the cubs won so it was almost a glorious day for chicago sports fans. I got new cell phone i went with t-mobile (amazing) i even get reception in demotte. nextel = bad, t-mobile = good. oh and the new underoath which comes out this summer...........it's really good.
